Benjamin Taylor, 23195, 1st Lancashire Fusiliers. KIA 1/7/1916.

His MIC detail indicates to me that he did not arrive in a War Theatre until after 31 Dec 1915.

1 Lancs Fusiliers landed at Marseilles from Egypt and Gallipoli in March 1916. It is likely that he joined them after March.

You can read about the months of his war from the Battalion War Diary which is at Kew under WO95/2300,when the Bn was part of 86 Brigade of 29 Division.
