seoliver Posted 19 December , 2009 Posted 19 December , 2009 I wondered if anyone could tell me anything about this small button/brooch? It is about 2cm in diameter with enamel inlay, some of which may now have been lost. It was found in the effects of the wife of a soldier in the South Staffs regiment, but I wondered if the interlocking red and blue chevrons had either a regimental, or other significance. Also are there any particularly good websites or resources for researching objects like this? Any help very gratefully received.
auchonvillerssomme Posted 19 December , 2009 Posted 19 December , 2009 Looks like a representation of the overseas service stripes.
