Remembered Today:

Ulster Tower opening footage

This is the Armistice Day Parade in Leeds in 1928.

The War Memorial was in it's original position in City Square, and of particular interest to me is the Sergeant of the Leeds Rifles laying a wreath. Moving images of soldiers wearing full dress complete with 'hearth brush' (stiff plume) is rare indeed.

Cheers,

Nigel

Agree with Desmond this is Gold Dust thanks for bringing it to the forum.

Do we have anymore information on the SGT in the film?

Lest We Forget.
