I have his papers and war diary for the month but was wondering if anyone has any more detail of their time on the Somme up until his death ? nthornton1979 Posted 16 December , 2009 Author Share Posted 16 December , 2009 Tony, I've got his papers which are very detailed and also the war diaries which state he attacked with his men but were up there by themselves and were surrounded.
