X30 Trench Mortar Battery RFA 1918

I am researching a family member killed on 15/5/18 while serving in this unit which was part of the Divisional Artillery of the 30th British Division. He is buried now in Cabaret Rouge BMC. I am trying to trace the movements of the unit and also to find out more about the weapons with which it was armed. I understand that the Newton 6 ins mortar had recently been introduced and can find no details about it. Any information about the Division, Battery and its armament at that time would be very useful.

For more info try the LLT link at the top left.

Is your relative Bdr E Taylor or Dvr Albert Hunnyball? If it is I would welcome any info for my database.

Regards

Paul
