mckenzieclan Posted 10 December , 2009 Share Posted 10 December , 2009 Hello all, So I purchased an electronic copy of this book. http://youroldbooksandmaps.co.uk/the-royal...iliers-ww1.html Didn't find what I need in it, but if anyone wants anything from it let me know and I would be glad to share. Thanks, Scott
malch Posted 10 December , 2009 Share Posted 10 December , 2009 Hi Scott, I'd be interested to know if there are any details of the 1/4th Battalion, paticularly around the 12/13 July 1915, 3rd Krithia. My great uncle Pte 8312 J.D. Cook was missing presumed dead in that action. M
mckenzieclan Posted 10 December , 2009 Author Share Posted 10 December , 2009 Hi, unfortunately the document is not a war diary, rather a listing of all the Officers. Sorry. I attached a screen shot so anyone else might see a glimpse of what is in there...
malch Posted 12 December , 2009 Share Posted 12 December , 2009 No apology necessary ! Thanks for that - I will probably not bother investing in it then ! I do have the war diaries of 1/4th from May-Jul 1915 if they are of any interest. M

He transferred to the RFC at some point but his medal card shows him as being with the RSF at some point. Im just trying to find anything on this mans pre RFC service. Died in late November 1917 Ypres. Cheers
Kentishwolf Posted 15 September , 2012 Share Posted 15 September , 2012 May be a faint hope but do you have anything on a Baron Raphael Harris or Raphael Baron Harris. I have a couple of photo's of him, that Imperial War Museum identified as RSF. In one he was a Cpl, but the other dated 1918 he was an officer cadet. No other info unfortunately, not on MIC, no number known. Here's hoping, Andy
mckenzieclan Posted 21 September , 2012 Author Share Posted 21 September , 2012 Kentishwolf, I have not logged into this board since 2009, but it is a rainy day here, and a slow day at work so I came back to find your fairly recent post. I will take a look, and see what I can find. It is unlikely however since these are mainly officers, but you never know. The doc is on my laptop at home, will post back.
