Martin Bennitt Posted 30 September , 2017 Share Posted 30 September , 2017 Just picked this up today in a charity shop in North Berwick for £3, in as new condition. Having now read the reviews on this Forum it looks like I got a bargain. Just have to find the time to read it. Cheers Martin B
Marilyne Posted 31 July , 2019 Share Posted 31 July , 2019 Just read this after it being on my shelve for quite some time - actually even forgot I have it… I wonder what I'm going to find in september when moving!! It's a great read! Good fluent style, easy to read and so entertaining!! I can only recommend it to anyone who want a peek at life a bit further away from the front line. Simply refreshing!! M. Black Maria Posted 31 July , 2019 Share Posted 31 July , 2019 Nowadays I have got more time to read the many books that I've collected over the years , this one was also sitting on my shelf for a long time . I'm about three quarters through it and agree it's a great read , although i must say that nearly every memoir I've read lately i have really enjoyed. I love to read these men's experiences and get a glimpse of a time long past .
