I don't know if these photos have already been mentioned, but when I was on the Leodis site, on the Crossgates section, I found on page 96, photos, 478, 479 and 480, photos of the Barnbow ladies, if no one has seen them?

Hi Barbara

Do you know the names of any of the Barnbow women on the photos? Margaret Cameron was my husband's grandmother and we wonder if she is on these photos. He has never seen a picture of her as his mother was only a young girl when Margaret died.

It could be worth your while making contact with the East Leeds History and Archaeology Society via their website. There isn't a specific 'Contact us' button to press, but here are a couple of email addresses and postal addresses which you could use.

ELHAS has been responsible for numerous presentations locally about the Barnbow Belles and I believe they have cultivated quite an archive of material, including photographs, for this purpose.

The society was heavily involved in the building and publicising of a memorial in memory of those killed in the expolsions at the munitions factory.

Cheers,

Nigel
