My great-grandfather was injured in France in 1916 and was returned to the ARCH, where he died in Dec 1916. I understand it began with about 50 beds, and had many more by the war's end. Are there any descriptions, photographs or records in existence? And any descriptions of hos similar hospitals might have operated?
