Skipman Posted 8 December , 2009 Posted 8 December , 2009 By any stretch of the imagination, are these photographs of the same man? Mike
J T Gray Posted 8 December , 2009 Posted 8 December , 2009 Oh lordy, they didn't make it easy for you, did they? For what it's worth, the ears are the same shape in each photo, I think - certainly the left one has got the same distinctive ridge in it, and a low top. Adrian
Pighills Posted 8 December , 2009 Posted 8 December , 2009 No, I don't think they're remotely alike - sorry.

CT-Guards Posted 9 December , 2009 Posted 9 December , 2009 I am convinced they are different individuals. If you draw a straight line through the centre of both eye's on the man in the left hand photo, you meet the top of both his ears. Do the same with the man in the right hand photo he has a clear difference in that his ear on our right is noticeably lower. (Neither head is more tilted given the equal shadow under the chin). 1. The top of both ears stick out more on the man on the right (more pointed). The man on the left has a very different shape lower left ear. 2. Eyes are different in shape. 3. Man on the right appears to have a fuller mouth/lips. Not the same man, I have morphed one image over the other and found very few points that match.
Guest Posted 9 December , 2009 Posted 9 December , 2009 Thanks CT-Guards. That's fair enough. Both photos, are of a William McIntosh. The William McIntosh with the South Staffs cap badge, was originally in the Black Watch, KIA serving with the 2nd Essex ( the South Staffs is a mystery ) The Black Watch man on the left, is also a William McIntosh, article says from Dowally, which is not far from where the other W McIntosh lived ( Aberfeldy ) Even his relation, is unsure if this was the same man in both photos. I think you are right, that it is another man. Thanks to everyonme for help. Mike
Guest Posted 10 December , 2009 Posted 10 December , 2009 CT-Guards. That's very good. Thanks for that. Mike
