Kia in France on Wednesday 21 November 1917

Can anyone tell me what his battalion were up to, please.

PM me. Or email me via the link below. My email address is on the right of the index page. I also have a photo of his grave at Loos. The Battalion should have left the front line on 20th but the order was cancelled. At the time they were in front of Loos holding the trenches in a quiet area. The extra days in the trenches cost the Battalion 8 men killed.

You may already know this but Tom Barratt CRAWFORD served overseas with South Staffs prior to his posting to 9th SF
