Ken Lees Posted 24 November , 2009 Posted 24 November , 2009 I am looking at the records of a soldier who enlisted under the Derby Scheme in late 1915. He was called up for service in August, 1916 and went to France in February, 1917. According to his service record he arrived in France and after a day at an Infantry Base Depot he was posted to the 9th King's Liverpool Regiment "under A.O. 204 & ACI 1499 of 1916". I am trying to understand the process and I'm sure it would help if I knew what the A.O. and A.C.I. details were. Is it possible that he wasn't allocated a regiment until after his arrival in France? There is no mention of a previous unit on his record. Thanks, Ken
