Wise Old Owl Posted 20 November , 2009 Posted 20 November , 2009 I've got a medal to the Army Ordnance Corps and the service number has a A- prefix. The only info I can find about AOC numbers seems to suggest it's related to soldiers of the old army. Is this right? Ian

Ian Williamson states that an A prefix for the Army Ordinance Corps denotes an armourer.
