Grenadier Guards info wanted

I am trying to find the enlistment date of 15487 l/cpl Gransden, He was 21 when he was KIA in 1914, so my guess would be 1912-14

Also I would like to know what happened on 29th Oct 1914 when he was KIA. I believe that they were over run and receive many casualties.

Hi,

I know of a Grenadier guards Sgt (No 15156). He joined Feb 1911, so I would guess your man would be close to that date.

What Battalion was he in?

There is a medal card for L/cpl Charles E Gransden of the 1st bn Grenadier Guards but with a service number of 15470.
