PaulBryant Posted 14 November , 2009 Share Posted 14 November , 2009 I've attached (fingers crossed) a photo of a relative in my wife's family tree and would appreciate any help offered in identify which regiment he served in. His name is George Henry Rayner. He was born in Q3, 1883 in Cambrigde (one of eight children) to William Rayner and Lucy Creek. I've found him in the 1891, 1901 & 1911 census returns (in 1911 he was living in St Andrew The Less, Cambridgeshire) but I've been less succesful on Ancestry's wonderful military record search facility. we know that he died in 1959 . Going by the date on the reverse, the photo appears to have been taken in Aug 1916 Many thanks in advance for your time and help. Paul
