Can anyone put a name to the distinguished looking Lt Col with the monocle and identify the battalion?

What about this Cheshires Major in gumboots?

It would be great to know who these senior officers are.

!Hi Paul,

I don't think that I can help identify your men, you need a keen Cheshires man for that! I would just like to say, at risk of sounding pedantic, that the officer you refer to as a Lt Col is infact a full Colonel, see his cuff rank. This may help narrow him down.

I wonder, if judging by the ages of the seated officers, that this may be a Territorial battalion? Only a thought!

Good luck with your quest.

Regards, Robert
