Mick D Posted 13 November , 2009 Share Posted 13 November , 2009 Hello all, A friend has asked me to look into the history of his great grandfather, all I know so far is - Name - Jeptha Pritchard dob - 12/12/1895 Resided -Backworth Regt - Leinsters (Btn. not known yet) Fought at Paschendaele, was gassed and became a POW. Anything would be welcomed, I hear the Red cross records will be digitised by 2014, but how long does a postal enquiry cost or take to complete ? archangel9 Posted 13 November , 2009 Share Posted 13 November , 2009 Mick, ICRC might be a bit expensive - http://www.icrc.org/eng/contact-archives "Since the 15th October 2009, all genealogical and individual inquiries relating to the First World War are submitted to a fee of 200.- Swiss Francs per prisoner and/or internee." archangel9 Posted 13 November , 2009 Share Posted 13 November , 2009 Mick, Sorry you would need a Northumberland Fusiliers or Leinsters expert for that. I'm sure someone will come along John
