Can anyone tell me what the number (1902) in front of this mans unit means please?

Possibly his number before TF renumbering? (Sheer guess).

His Medal Index Card shows both numbers so Steve's guess is correct

Medal card of Bradley, Johnson

Corps Regiment No Rank

Yorkshire Light Infantry 200235 Private

Yorkshire Light Infantry 1902 Private

Date 1914-1920

Thanks Steve, Fairly obvious I suppose...I wasn't able to access the NA site and couldn't find his MIC on Ancestry, have you found it on Ancestry?

In a word No, it's on NA but can't see it on Ancestry.
