Edwin Foster was my Father and he served in WW1 as army medic. I know he was in ~Salonika but that is all the information I have and I am unable to find anything about his war time. He came from Lancashire born in Wigan but I believe he may have joined the army in Burnley. Found is Army number 27216 on a Lancashire Family History site but can get no further. Can anyone help me with anything on my father and/or the RAMC. Have a feeling he may have been with East LancashireFusiliers. He was born in 1895

You might get to find which unit he served in by seeing if you can find him in the 1918 Absent Voters List for his home area, that often gives a unit he is serving in. You can then trace back from there to find out what his unit did and where they did it.
