Jim Clay Posted 11 November , 2009 Share Posted 11 November , 2009 There have been previous threads on this topic - do a search on "pow recordings" in the Beta Search box above - but it's interesting to know that the British Library now have copies of the recordings. archangel9 Posted 11 November , 2009 Share Posted 11 November , 2009 Is there an index of PoW's involved? John
stuartd Posted 13 November , 2009 Share Posted 13 November , 2009 There was also an entire programme on this a year or two ago on - I think BBC4. I recall the poor lady whose brother was one of those that had been recorded. She is now well into her 90s, her brother had died shortly after the war and the look on her face was enough to make you wonder if, after so many years, and for one so frail, it was really sensible to play a recording of the voice of her long dead and beloved brother.
