Nick Thornicroft Posted 10 November , 2009 Posted 10 November , 2009 This officer served with the Scinde Horse during WW1, & received a DSO in 1919. His son was killed in action during WW2. If anyone has a photo of Maj. C.R.H.P. Landon I would be very grateful. Many thanks
Philip Wilson Posted 10 November , 2009 Posted 10 November , 2009 Nick I checked Part 2 of the DSO which sometimes includes portrait photos of the recipients - no such luck in this instance. His entry on page 285 reads: LANDON C.R.H.P. (DSO L.G. 22.3.19) Major (A/Lt.Col.) 35th Scinde Horse, I.A; born 6.6.79; 2nd Lt; Unatt; 25.1.99; I.S.C. 22.3.00, Lt; I.A. 7.10.01; Capt;25.1.08; Major 35th Scinde Horse, I.A; 1.9.15; Despatches. War Services of Officers on the Army 1920 page 958 confirms Despatches Lond. Gaz; 18 May 20, French War Cross and DSO. Philip
Steven Broomfield Posted 10 November , 2009 Posted 10 November , 2009 No picture in Maunsell's history of the regiment, I'm afraid.
