Trying to find out any enlistment details for him. Got his medal card which does not say a lot except he has the 1915 star. Canot even positively identify him from the 1911 census but I do know he survived. Any help gratefully received

From the date into War Theatre on MIC (24.8.1915) it is likely that he was with the 9th Battalion (Pioneers) as that is when they landed at Boulogne. They were attached to 23 Division:

Hi Mark

I can't give you his enlistment date but I can tell you that he served with the 9th Battalion and transferred at some time to the 1st Btn.

If you want a copy of his medal rolls PM me your email address.

Regards Doug.
