Photographs in "Tyneside Scottish" were sourced from a photo album I bought many years ago, but as it's not to hand I can't tell you who the previous owner was.

I am thrilled to see the photograph of Hilton Telford. I am descended from his great grandfather's brother. I was hoping to find a male descendent for the Telford, but once again thwarted as he was killed in 1917 and was the only son. Can I copy the photograph please for my files.?There are no male descendents in the branch who went to america and on my side one was also killed in 1915. i will keep trying. thanks again. N

LIkewise, I am delighted to find these images of Hilton Telford. He was one of 75 old scholars from Ackworth School killed in the Great War. We are researching the lives of these men and this find is a real bonus. Tom Plant, Head of History, Ackworth School.

Hi Tom,

Welcome to the Forum.

If you are interested I can send you an image of H.R.T. from a book which I have, there is also a short biography mainly relating to his war service.

If you have an email address? then I can send this to you.

Robert
