gethn Posted 5 November , 2009 Share Posted 5 November , 2009 Hi I'm researching the battle of Beit ur et Foqa which occured in Late 1917 in Palestine. If any one has any information/battle plans etc I would be very grateful. I'm interested in Royal welsh Fusilliers 25th Bn which took part in the battle Thanks Gethin
sotonmate Posted 5 November , 2009 Share Posted 5 November , 2009 Gethin The War Diary for 25 RWF (of 74 Yeomanry Division) for this period is at Kew Archives under WO95/4679. It runs from Jan 1917 to Apr 1918. Sotonmate
clive_hughes Posted 6 November , 2009 Share Posted 6 November , 2009 Hi, just briefly, this action will be covered by the Regimental Records of the Royal Welch Fusiliers Vol.IV and also (with plan) by the History of the 53rd Welsh Division 1914-1918. Both books authored by C.H.Dudley Ward, maybe available from your local library or a reference library, and both reprinted by the Naval & Military Press and available from them or other sources in hardback and soft cover versions.
