Toby Elliott Posted 5 November , 2009 Posted 5 November , 2009 I am just starting to research the WW1 career of my Grandfather Major James Bogue Elliott OBE. I wondered if anyone had any information on him already. I have copy of his record of service, a few momentoes and some anecdotal stories about this period of his life which I am writing down. I saw some earlier conversation about him on this forum. Toby
Starlight Posted 5 November , 2009 Posted 5 November , 2009 In the Flight magazine (archived) for the 15th Octiober 1915, the Royal Aero Club announced the gaining of his aviator's certificate: 1823 Lieut. James Bogue Elliott (6th Rifle Brigade) (Maurice Farman Biplane, Military School, Shoreham). Sept. 26th, 1915. Steve
IPT Posted 10 February , 2011 Posted 10 February , 2011 His photo is on his Aviator's Certificate. Have you got that?
nils d Posted 11 February , 2011 Posted 11 February , 2011 Toby. If you have his service record then revealing his units would be helpful.
