Rory Reynolds Posted 3 November , 2009 Posted 3 November , 2009 Hi all I am trying to research a Lt. A.J. Duffett. He first saw service with the Dukes in German South West Africa before accepting a commission with the Lancashire Fusiliers. According to his Medal Index Card he became eligible for a Silver Wound Badge on 6. 5.1918. I have 2 questions which I am hoping Forum members might be able to help me with. Firstly what action was Duffett's regiment engaged with on the day he was wounded? And, secondly, can someone with a knowledge of the TNA Doc search facility please tell me if his file is downloadable. Thanks in anticipation. Rory
Hywyn Posted 3 November , 2009 Posted 3 November , 2009 Rory Re Q1. I have always thought that the date of eligibilty was the date discharged and not the date wounded so I await someone with a definitive answer on that one Hywyn
