Ann Yarwood Posted 1 November , 2009 Posted 1 November , 2009 Hi, Just reposting this from the photo's thread. I'd be grateful if anyone could take a photo of the grave of my great uncle, John Henry Ball 26915, 1st Bn., The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. He was born in Liverpool and died, aged 23, on 12 November 1917 in 'France and Flanders'. He's buried in Passchendale British cemetary according to the CWGC. (Possibly plot 16, row A grave 10? ) Also, I have his service record but if anyone can fill in any details relating to his batallion and the activities he's likely to have been caught up in, especially those relating to his death, it'd be great. Thanks as always, Ann
ralphjd Posted 1 November , 2009 Posted 1 November , 2009 Ann. The War Graves Photographic Project have this photo, cost £3 via email, but you might try member Anthony Bagshaws site British War Graves photographic archive, if Anthony has it its free. Ralph.
Ian Murphy Posted 1 November , 2009 Posted 1 November , 2009 Ann, If neither option works then I would advise keeping a watch on upcoming photograph offers threads. Particularly at this time of year many forum pals will be heading over to France and Flanders and I am sure one would be haapy to oblige with your request. All you need to do is post a reply to their offer. Best regards, Ian.
Promenade Posted 1 November , 2009 Posted 1 November , 2009 Hi Ann Are you aware that he is commemorated on the war memorial in St Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Scotland Rd, Liverpool? Promenade
