I have to confess to becoming completely lost once I get to the level of Corps.

I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me which were the constituent Divisions of the VIII Corps in July 1916.

Mel - See Order of Battle of Divisions Part 4 - page 182

V111 Corps

1st -2nd July 1916 - Battle of Albert (4th, 29th, 31st and 48th Divs. - Fourth Army until 4/7/16 then Reserve Army)

At 4pm on 30/7/16 X1V Corps took over V111 Corps front, in the Reserve Army;and at 6pm on 29/7/16 V111 Corps took over, from X1V Corps, the left of the Second Army front to the north east of Ypres.*

* V111 Corps HQ was at La Lovie Chateau (3 miles N.W.of Poperinghe)
