kkinsella Posted 22 October , 2009 Posted 22 October , 2009 Hi Everyone, Forgive me if I have posted this topic on a previous occasion. Would anyone know in what action was the Wellington Infantry Regiment involved during its service in the Dardanelles on 29 April 1915? Best wishes, Ken KInsella.
christine liava'a Posted 22 October , 2009 Posted 22 October , 2009 The tail end of the Battle of the Landing, according to "Bloody Gallipoli"- Chris Pugsley. 23 of the Wellington Infantry Battalion were kia on 29 April. Reading back to the preceding actions, it looks like the Wellington Battalion had seized Russell's Top on 27 April and were still holding it. I suggest you get a copy of the book, and read it carefully Christine
