mlr0663 Posted 21 October , 2009 Share Posted 21 October , 2009 Hello I wonder if someone, with access to Ancestry), I don't think I'm allowed to post an image of the MI Roll Card directly onto the site, would be able to look at the MI card for one Frederick Michael Annocley Webster and decipher all the annotations and abbreviations for me please? Thank you very much Margaret
The Inspector Posted 21 October , 2009 Share Posted 21 October , 2009 Hi Margaret You can post his Service number/s, as there are a few F.Websters on Ancestry. Incidentally I agree with your interpretation of Ancestry's rules!!! Regards Barry
mlr0663 Posted 21 October , 2009 Author Share Posted 21 October , 2009 BARRY ~ Hi Thanks for replying. I can't see an obvious reg. number on the MI card (!!) On the index roll he appears as:- Frederick Michael Anncoley and was in the South Staffs Reg and R AR, which should narrow it down There is a lot of writing on the card and I'm not sure what it all means. Thanks Margaret
