Lost in Tilloy Posted 13 October , 2009 Share Posted 13 October , 2009 Hi Jintyd Major Ewing's book "The Royal Scots 1914-1919", states that the 14th RS was a New Army unit that was formed in Weymouth in 1914. It was commanded by Lieut-Col A.H. Battye. The unit became a reserve battalion and was sent to Stobs in 1915. They moved to Hispwell near Catterick in October 1915 and then moved to Kirkcaldy for garrison duties in the spring of 1916, which covers the period that your relative was involved with them.
