Mark Gamble Posted 10 October , 2009 Share Posted 10 October , 2009 Please can anyone suggest the unit indicated by the patch on the arm of the wearer. The picture is from a post card produced by H.J. Leeson Studio, 22, Hood Street, Northampton. The card has written upon it "With Compliments of the Season from Arthur W. Lee, Lessines, Belgium, Dec. 1918". I am hoping that the patch may lead to an identification of the soldier.
jay dubaya Posted 10 October , 2009 Share Posted 10 October , 2009 I think the patch belongs to the 16th Bn West Yorks, 93rd Bde, 31st Division, cheers, Jon
Mark Gamble Posted 15 October , 2009 Author Share Posted 15 October , 2009 Dear Jon Thank you for taking the time to offer a suggestion, I will follow this up. I have been looking on the net to see if there is a site with a comprehensive list or images of Great War patches, but haven't yet found one. Best wishes Mark
