World War Memorial

Recommended Posts

Click here for photos and a description of the World War Memorial in Martinsburg, West Virginia, U.S. Martinsburg is the county seat of Berkely County, West Virginia, which is where I live. Quite a few of the Great War monuments in America are located in county seats, which are the capital cities of counties. Berkeley County is named after a colonial governer of the colony of Virginia. During the Civil War the Confederate state of Virginia was split in two by the Union government to form the Union state of West Virginia.
