ddycher Posted 8 October , 2009 Share Posted 8 October , 2009 All Having discussed misc areas of the Egyptian / Palestine campaign with Russell here on GWF I recently had chance to read his book. For those interested in this theatre of the war I highly recommend it. Russell has managed to take a poorly covered area from old reference material and, for me atleast, put a personality to events by bringing focus on some of the key people. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it even for those with only a passing interest in the events. Regards Dave
centurion Posted 8 October , 2009 Share Posted 8 October , 2009 Must look out for it. I had a great uncle involved and have a photo of him at Siwa oasis just after it had fallen.
Robert Dunlop Posted 9 October , 2009 Share Posted 9 October , 2009 I agree wholeheartedly with Dave. Centurion, you will enjoy this book, especially having the personal connection. Robert
