Hi, I need to purchase a replica VC for a display. Can anyone suggest where I might purchase one. I have been in touch with a couple of places but thought that I would seek out experiences of Forum members before I proceed. Regards Sue S.

Sue,

I'd recommend (as I have in the past, and as is always the case here I must emphasize no commercial connection with the vendor, just a happy customer) Worcestershire Medal Service Ltd from Bromsgrove

http://www.worcmedals.com/dsShop.aspx?shopid=1 (if that link doesn't work just delete the part after .com) as their VC replica is one of the better looking and more reasonably priced.

Beware of medals with "Museum copy quality" on a certain auction site, they are usually very cheap and made out of soft alloy. I know of one guy who makes them with very soft metal on his kitchen table to order, just gets an imprint and melts his metal on the stove! The result? Poor!!
