There have been one or two questions on the net about this music, none so far have come up with any sort of answer.

I tried the makers of 'Bargain Hunt', through their email set up. They were using it for a piece on a set of medals to a man who won the George Medal during WW2.

I await their answer. I asked about three weeks ago.

Is it the haunting violin piece ( I might be thinking of the wrong programme) ?

If so it is the same piece as used in Schindlers list.

No answers from me, just questions: What about the end credits, any mention there? Maybe it was original scoring?

John Williams is the composer for the Schindlers list music, definately used in a WW1 series.
