Good day all,

I'm trying to link a man to the Anstey Roll of Honour, the name on the Roll is G. W. Ellen. I've managed to find a George William Ellen on the 1911 census living in Anstey, and have two MIC's which could be for this man, I would like to ask if anyone would have any further information on either of them.

Hi Llew

There is a second MIC for G. Ellen Pte 9073 L.Pool Regt. and Cpl. THE NUMBER IS 13221. NOTE the difference from the other MIC number given as 103221 for G.W.Ellen. Obviously same man. G.Ellen is for 14 Star G.W. for Brit/Vic.

Thanks Barry I hadn't noticed the second card. The man that I'm looking for was born in 1885 and could have been a regular soldier, would a Liverpool expert be able to give me anymore information on this man?

Regards. Llew.
