Clarence A Cufflin

Good day all,

I believe that this man was from Anstey, and went back there after being discharged. Could anybody help me confirm this, thought Charles might be able to help?

Hi Lew,

I wonder if thats any relative, Brad Cufflin of George Street Ansty who was in the Labour Corps.

Does the MIC say he was commisioned into the Liverpool Regiment.

Cheers Roger.

Hi Roger,

Yes, Brad is related and from the top off my head I can't remember exactly in what way. I've also got Edward Henry Hughes Cufflin on the memorial and I think he is Clarence's younger brother. I'm fairly sure that this Clarence is my man, as the name is not so common. The wording on the MIC is as follows,

Comm. L'pool R. 28.5.18. If Clarence was commisioned, am I right in thinking that there will be a Gazette entry to be found?

Has anyone got any idea why the medal rolls are listed outside of the box?

Regards. Llew.

Hi there Lew,

It should be Gazetted but I can't work that dammed thing out. That occoured to me about bieng outside the box and also it saying what looks like R&F.

Glad it looks like some type of tie up.

Its just struck me you might find his record in the officers records.

Cheers Roger.
