Gerry1916 Posted 12 September , 2009 Share Posted 12 September , 2009 The war diary for 9th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusileers shows the following (has anyone got any idea where I could find maps etc of where these places are/were ? 01/04/17 6 Ors joined battalion 04/04/17 Btn moved from CALOMBY to ARCOUER (stayed there overnight) 05/04/17 Marched to HAZEBROUCK (stayed there overnight) 06/04/17 March continues to brigade reserve (trench ??) at Derry Huts Btn supplied working parties in the trenches 14th Irish Rifles to the right 08/04/17 85 Ors joined btn 13/04/17 In the trenches Btn HQ at NEWPORT DUGOUTS 3Ors killed in action 15/04/09 Enemy quiet 19/04/17 1 OR KIA and 1 wounded In the field Into reserve at Derry Huts 20/04/17 – 22/04/17 Enemy artillery very active (shelling around Derry Huts and New Station) Derry Huts men moved into bivowacks campment and Btn moved into tents and farmhouse at N26C10.40 and 2 companies in huts at Derry farm 21/04/17 Lieut T.
