Hi perce620

Like John says four men of the 1/K.S.L.I. lost their lives on the 16/9/16. I have Pte Luscott down as died of wounds, and seeing that he is buried in La Neuville British Cemetery Corbie confirms this.

The Battalion held trenches along the Guillemont - Leuze Wood road. The Quadrilateral, which the Battalion had orders to attack on the 18th, was being softened up on the 16th ready for the attack, German retaliation was light (war diary only records two men wounded but SD records two killed in action and two died of wounds). Pte. Luscott may have been wounded on the 15th, the war diary records 22 men wounded on this day, plus four had been wounded on 13th.
