Hi All,

I have just found out that yet another relative of mine was one of the lads that got kia. I was wondering if any of you pals might know where he was in france on this particular day. Details as follows:-

Heald, William Bagshaw

Private

West Yorkshire Regt (Prince of Wales Own)

10th Btn

Died 15/09/1918

Age 21

Service No 56530

Grave Ref V111.F.1A

Cemetery Mont Huon Military Cemetary, Le Treport.

Please help if you can

Thanks

Are you sure he was KIA, rather than DoW? It's just that I know Le Treport was the centre for more than 1 military hospital, rather than being a front line area.

Thanks Guys,

I have looked on CWGC and all it tells me is that Pte Heald is a Commonwealth War dead. I seem to remember reading somewhere that this area was a hospital, but I cant remember where i read it now. So, how can i find out more about Pte Heald, and if he did die of wounds, is there any web site that would hold the war diaries or is there anyone who has a copy of them??.

Thanks again guys.
