I've the two books by Gavin Richardson titled:-

1. For King and Country and the Scottish Borderers (from mobilization to the withdrawal from Gallipoli)

2. After Gallipoli (Egypt, Palestine and the western Front)

Both books have a Roll of Honour.

Unfotunately your man Walter Snowden is not in the Roll of Honour in either books. Do you know what his regimental number was?

I also assume that you don't know where he was killed. The 1/4 KOSB's were in Palestine at this time.

If you know anymore, I would be happy to help if I can.

Walter Snowden is named on the Elland War Memorial but there is no trace of him on the CWGC registers or the Soldiers Died in the Great War CD Rom.

There is even an obituary for him in the local paper, so I think he died but I can't find anything about him.

Thanks very much for trying any way. I'll have to give this a little more thought.
