Sniper Snoop Posted 3 February , 2010 Share Posted 3 February , 2010 I think this is a No.80 without ring. But what is N49? And what purpose does the ring that you can reel off (the last photo is my No.80)?
cypresslodge Posted 4 February , 2010 Share Posted 4 February , 2010 Hi, Just wondering if the middle fuze in the picture can be identified? Would love to know what it was part of. It has printed on it - Alco Lot 1159 ( could be 1759) and is approx 6cm high and 6cm wide at its widest point. One of the rings or bands is orange and has a symbol and either 26 or 25 on it. Any information on it or the other two in the pic would be greatly appreciated. ( didnt get the measurements for the other two and due to their condition and lack of time I couldnt see if anything was printed on them unfortunately) Cheers Sharon

Sniper Snoop Posted 31 July , 2010 Share Posted 31 July , 2010 Looks like a French Schneider 24/31 or 24/31 Mle 1899.
auchonvillerssomme Posted 1 August , 2010 Share Posted 1 August , 2010 Could it not be Mle 1889-1908 Which as you know looks almost identical but a different colour. Unlees that is the 'Schneider' but unfortunately I don't have references to that.
