Nigel Marshall Posted 16 February , 2010 Share Posted 16 February , 2010 Selby! The first concentration point for the Leeds Rifles at the beginning of the Great War! I really like Selby. Cycled through there hundreds of times. Cheers, Nigel ps, You're forgiven, Mick!

franzmaximilian Posted 17 February , 2010 Share Posted 17 February , 2010 Franz I think I can see some bomb craters but can't find the batteries! Simon Simon, you have to identify the place first. Then move a few Km following their alignement. Unfortunately the easiest alignement to spot, the one on the far left, doesn't bring to a battery which is visible on GE. Nigel Marshall Posted 17 February , 2010 Share Posted 17 February , 2010 post#117 Somewhere on Salisbury Plain? Michelle No that one was Redmires. What should be visible is part of a network of trenches dug for the training of the Sheffield City Battalion. The ropey reproduction of the image probably masked all the identifying features, Sorry.
