Any information please on CPO Hubert Rendall Royal Navy drowned on 5th August 1918 buried in Gallipoli

trying to find a Belper connection

Hi Richard.

According to his CWGC entry, Hubert Frederic Rendall was Electrical Artificer (4th Class). Here's his service record.

These are from the 1911 census:

Herbert Rendell, b.1887, age 24, Overseas Military

Herbert Rendle, b.1888, age 23, Axbridge, Somersetshire

Fredrick Rendell, b.1889, age 22, Shepton Mallet, Somersetshire

Even though the year is wrong, the first one looks like a possible.

Hubert Frederic Rendall was a war time recruit (joined 1918); so I'd be surprised if he was the first entry.
