brianh Posted 3 April , 2010 Share Posted 3 April , 2010 Hi All, As many readers of this thread, are also volunteers who are placing the Crosses and photographing the New Zealand graves, I thought that I would take this opportunity to update you on the progress of the project. There are 344 Cemeteries containing service personel who served with the NZ Forces in the 2 Wars and who are buried in UK. Of these 257 have been Photographed already. I have listed the outstanding Cemeteries below, and if any readers can cover any of these Cemeteries, please let me know, and I will send you some Crosses. brianh Posted 29 April , 2010 Share Posted 29 April , 2010 Hi All, A message from Dolores in New Zealand. "Thanks to all the Kind Volunteers who are helping with this Project World Wide. Just to let you know that I will be away for the whole of May, and will not be able to respond to offers of help until I return at the end of May. Offers of help in UK can be sent to Brian Hillman, and other urgent matters can also be sent to him until I return. - Thank you - Dolores Ho" Any urgent messages for Dolores can be sent via a PM to me. angelab Posted 7 August , 2010 Share Posted 7 August , 2010 I happened to stop at Escoublac-La Baule cemetery in western France yesterday, and saw that there were several New Zealanders buried there from WWII. So I was sorry that I had not got any flax crosses with me to leave for them. The few NZ stones that I saw (I think there are 5 or 6, looking at the CWGC website) looked freshly re-cut, and very smart. Angela
Michael Johnson Posted 8 August , 2010 Share Posted 8 August , 2010 I'm close to Dunnville and Jarvis Ontario, where there are six RNZAF airmen buried, casualties of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.
(nzef) Posted 8 August , 2010 Share Posted 8 August , 2010 I would be more than happy to place crosses when visiting cemeteries. I'll be in France most weekends for the coming year. The crosses even made it onto the front cover of my latest project. Regards Grant

judy7007 Posted 2 June , 2011 Share Posted 2 June , 2011 Hello Joan, I do hope you can come. When I was at the service at Westminster Abbey on Anzac Day I heard a voice call my name - looked around and it was Dolores. She had recognised me from some photos. What a surprise! We had a really good chat afterwards. She was then going on a tour of UK. She is so looking forward to meeting volunteers who have helped/are helping with her project. best wishes Judy
