This is terrific. Thank you so very much.

I found the Canadian Census of 1901, summising that Maud might be on it but I cannot find her. I must say the site isn't as easy to navigate round.

There was no Maud Dilley, and no matches for any Dilley's in Montreal Quebec either. What did cross my mind is that Montreal might be where she sailed from, not necessarily where she lived?

She could have lived anywhere in Canada and travelled to the port of Montreal for her journey. Did her marriage certificate list her father's name?

Thats a good thought. I don't have the certificate but my 'uncle' Peter may do. Clement (Maud's husband) divorced Maud in 1940 and remarried - they had Peter.

A very confusing family. Maud remarried too!

Will get onto Peter now and try to get the info. Thank you for the suggestion.
