I'm off for a week round the battlefields at the end of September. I can't 100% guarantee I'll get all due to the haphazard way we go about things, but if you give any requests I'll take the list and do my best. Any I know we'll definitelty get to I'll let you know.

Regards

Kev

Good afternoon Kev,

I've got a lengthy list of Royal Canadian buried near Cambrai. Just in case any of these cemeteries are on your own agenda, I'd appreciate any photos you might have to time to take. (I've sorted the lists with multiple names by the Grave reference.)

Thanks

Mike

Hi Kev,

thank you for posting this offer. Uncertain what to ask for without a list or itinerary, but on the assumption that you may end up at some point at the Cambrai Memorial to the missing, can I please put the following names of Anglesey men forward?-

Welsh Guards - Panel 3

Corporal

Parry, D. 210

Royal Welsh Fusiliers - Panel 5

Privates

Jones, A.E. 265828

Jones, J.R. 28975

Thomas, R. 203456

South Wales Borderers - Panel 5

Private

Jones, F. 35300

ALSO in the adjoining Louverval Military Cemetery, Doignies which is part of the Cambrai Memorial site, the grave of:

Shovel, T.J. Reverend (Chaplain), Army Chaplains Dept, 5 Oct 1918 Grave Ref. A.6

Enjoy the trip, whatever!

EDIT- kind friend has now offered me shots of a couple of the Memorial panels - can I reduce request to the RWF men and Louverval, please?

Okay, I now have a book recommended on this site so I'm learning where the cemeteries/memorials are for future reference.

Enjoy your visit
