Hi Pals

Im currently searching for a friends relative but cant seem to fiund any records for him. this is what i know

Robert Marshall

born : 9th April 1894 in Ulverston (Dalton)

Marriage : to Amelia May Ogden on 19th April 1924

he lived in rochdale before the outbreak of war but i still cant seem to find anything

from what the family say he did serve in the great war and was wounded

any help would be great guys

Bit of a needle in haystack job unless you can establish more information. The Medal Index Cards give 307 men of this name. Add to that others just listed with the letter R and those who served with the navy or air services and there's a lot of possibilities.

Assuming he joined infantry - there are eleven MIC hits to Yorkshire for robert Marshall and one for Yorks as unit name some of these are west or east. If you had a middle name initial you might be lucky to narrow it down.
