I didn't bother with a PM. The cheque's in the post.

My strategy too.... winging its way accross the Atlantic as we speak.

a. No

b. yes .......

In my keeness to get the booklets in the post to beat the nice, friendly, ultra-modern, excellent industrial relations, model employers, SCROTES ....

I omitted to sign any copies.

Mighty grovels called for and in progress.

Grumpy,

Thanks for your PM, I owe you a cheque, postal strikes notwithstanding etc - does this count as an order?

In terms of ju-ju, I bought Alan Mallinson's 'Making of the British Army' yesterday (as the hope that I would receive a review copy has been dashed) and that, unexpectedly, was signed. So I wouldn't be aggrieved at an unsigned edition of yours. The world is in balance.

(Bit like the old joke from the 70s - "I've got a rare first edition of Ted Heath's book! Unsigned!")

and several of Ray Westlake's offerings came signed, willy-nilly ........

I do have a stock-pile of Frank Richards's Old Soldiers, signed by his daughter, does that count?

Message to all purchasers.

Postal Strike next Thurs Fri.

Unless I hear from you otherwise, the last mail out will be tomorrow Saturday, this to ensure that your booklet does not get stuck in a mountain of backlog.

All orders received after noon Saturday will be held against end of strike and normalisation of mail. I will not, of course, cash cheques until I post out.

If you have had booklet or I have notified it is posted, please ignore.

If you wish me to post regardless, please TELEPHONE 01778 560900

David Langley

I have attempted to PM all concerned.
